Become a Sloth Saviour

At Merazonia we receive a large amount of sloths per year. Some have been confiscated from the illegal pet trade, some have been found dangerously crossing roads and need relocation. Others have sustained serious injuries and need close monitoring and specialised care.

For those that need relocation, often a quick health check is all that's needed before sending them on their way. For the more complex cases, we give these noble creatures a place to gain strength and recover from their injuries before being released.

Young sloths receive expensive fresh goat’s milk and get a radio collar when released so we can make sure they are progressing well in the wild.
