Adopt Whistler the Special Kinkajou

The famous Whistler! It's not hard to understand why kinkajou Whistler is a fast favourite among our volunteers.

Kinkajous belong to the raccoon family, are nocturnal and live in trees. They are very agile and run and jump through the trees in search of fruits and nectar to eat with their long tongues. Sadly, kinkajous are still popular in the pet trade but we have rescued, rehabilitated and released many.

Whistler is known as the "special one" due to the fact that he arrived with facial injuries as well as a serious heart condition. Unfortunately, this means Whistler can never be released but we give him the best life we can at Merazonia. Watch a short video of Whistler receiving his daily medication here.

As well as his health problems, Whistler's time as a pet left him very humanised so he is one of our few exceptions to our hands off policy as it enriches his life immensely.

Adopt Whistler today and receive updates on how he's doing!
